Rio Grande Meigs Center Orientation Dates:

Tuesday, August 7*

*Meigs Center Only students planning on taking classes at the Meigs Center should register for this date.

What is Orientation?

What is Orientation? Orientation prepares you for a successful start at the University of Rio Grande and Rio Grande Community College. By attending Orientation, you will learn about the services offered at Rio Grande, meet current students and other new students, meet with academic advisors and register for classes. It is extremely important for you to have either taken the ACT or Compass Placement test prior to the Orientation Session. To schedule an appointment for the Compass Placement test, please contact the New Student Advising Office, Testing and Career Services at 1-800-282-7201, ext. 7279.
